How READY NIGHT SHIFT LTD handles personal data on our websites and in business enquiries.
Effective and last updated:
1. Who we are and what this notice covers
ReadySolve and Night Shift are trading names of READY NIGHT SHIFT LTD, a private limited company registered in England and Wales with company number 17522879. Our registered office is 128 City Road, London, United Kingdom, EC1V 2NX. We are the controller of the personal data described in this notice.
Contact us about privacy or your rights at lancelot@readysolve.sh, or write to our registered office marked “Privacy”. Our company details can be checked on Companies House.
This notice covers our public marketing websites at readysolve.sh and readynightshift.com, and related business enquiries and correspondence. We build and license reinforcement learning environments for enterprise workflows. Any processing of customer data on a customer's behalf under a separate service agreement is governed by that agreement and any applicable data processing agreement; this notice does not replace them.
2. Personal data we collect
Information you provide. When you email us or discuss our products, we receive your email address, name, organisation, role, contact details and whatever you include in your message. Business discussions may also include licensing requirements and records of our correspondence. Please provide only information needed for your enquiry, and do not send sensitive personal data or confidential third-party datasets through an initial enquiry.
Information from others. A colleague or business contact may introduce you to us or include you in correspondence. In that case we receive the business contact details and correspondence they provide. We do not purchase advertising profiles or contact lists for this website.
Technical information. Our hosting infrastructure processes information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as IP addresses, requested URLs, request times, browser or device information, referring pages where supplied, and error or security information. These records may be generated automatically when you visit.
The public website has no account registration, payment checkout or user-upload form. Product examples and recorded agent traces are demonstration content, rather than a record of your activity on the website.
3. Why we use personal data and our legal bases
We use personal data only where we have an applicable lawful basis:
- Responding to enquiries and managing business relationships: our legitimate interests in communicating with prospective customers, understanding their needs and running our business. If you personally ask us to take steps towards a contract with you, or we perform a contract with you, contractual necessity applies to the relevant processing. Where you represent an organisation, we generally rely on legitimate interests for your business contact details.
- Delivering, maintaining and securing the website: our legitimate interests in providing a reliable website, diagnosing faults and preventing abuse or unauthorised access.
- Meeting legal obligations: compliance with applicable legal, accounting or regulatory requirements, including responding to valid requests from authorities.
- Protecting legal rights: our legitimate interests in establishing, exercising or defending legal claims and protecting our business and others.
- Optional marketing communications: consent where required by law, or legitimate interests where business communications are legally permitted. You may ask us to stop marketing at any time. An enquiry does not automatically subscribe you to a newsletter.
We consider the effect on individuals when relying on legitimate interests. We do not use website enquiry data to train general-purpose AI models, and we do not make solely automated decisions about you that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
Providing information in an enquiry is voluntary. Without sufficient contact details and relevant information, we may be unable to respond or arrange a contract.
4. Cookies and tracking
We do not currently use advertising cookies, analytics trackers, tracking pixels or session replay on the public website. We do not use browser storage to build visitor profiles. Technical request processing by our hosting provider is separate from advertising or behavioural tracking. See our Cookie Notice for more information.
5. Who receives personal data
We share data only as reasonably needed for the purposes above:
- Service providers: website hosting and delivery, including Vercel, and providers of email, business communications and IT services. They receive the data needed to provide their services.
- Professional advisers: lawyers, accountants, insurers and other advisers where needed for advice, compliance or the protection of rights.
- Authorities and other recipients: where required by law or necessary and lawful to address fraud, security incidents or legal claims.
- Business transfers: relevant parties and their advisers in a proposed or completed financing, merger or transfer of our business, subject to appropriate confidentiality and data protection measures.
We do not sell personal data or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not publish your enquiry or contact details on the website.
6. International transfers
We are based in the United Kingdom. Hosting, email and IT providers may process personal data in other countries, including the United States. Where a transfer is restricted by applicable UK or European data protection law, we use an applicable adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards, such as approved standard contractual clauses and the UK Addendum or International Data Transfer Agreement, as appropriate. You can contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your data and to request a copy, with necessary redactions to protect confidential information.
7. How long we keep data
We retain personal data for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which we collected it. For enquiries and correspondence, we consider whether the discussion is active, whether a business relationship continues, and whether the record is needed to resolve a request or dispute. For technical records, we consider operational and security needs and the hosting provider's retention settings. Where records relate to a contract, accounting obligation or legal claim, applicable statutory requirements and limitation periods may require longer retention.
We consider the nature and sensitivity of the data, the risk of retaining it and whether the purpose can be achieved with less information. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it; copies in backups may remain until the normal backup cycle expires and are not used for new purposes. Contact us if you need information about retention of a particular record.
8. Your rights and choices
Subject to applicable law and the circumstances, you may request access to and a copy of your personal data, correction, erasure, restriction of processing and portability of data processed by automated means on the basis of consent or a contract. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
Your right to object: you may object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation. You may object to direct marketing at any time, and we will stop that use.
To exercise a right, email lancelot@readysolve.sh or write to our registered office. We may ask for proportionate information to verify your identity and understand the request. We normally respond within one month, subject to lawful extensions and exceptions. We explain any refusal and the available complaint routes.
You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office. If European Economic Area data protection law applies, you may also complain to the supervisory authority where you live or work or where an alleged infringement occurred. You do not have to contact us before raising a complaint with a regulator.
If other applicable privacy laws give you additional rights, including a right to appeal our response, contact us using the same details. We will handle your request under the law that applies to it and will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
9. Security, children and other websites
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Our website and business services are directed at adult business and research users, rather than children. If you believe a child has supplied personal data, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
External websites have their own privacy practices. Please review their notices when you follow a link or use their services.
10. Changes to this notice
We will update this notice when our practices change and revise the date above. For significant changes, we will provide a prominent notice or contact affected people where appropriate or required by law.
